『スポルテッド』と呼ばれる大変珍しい表情を持った天然木を使用し、
ランタンの灯りを美しく引き立てるシルエットはそのままに、
COLONISTAの世界観に溶け込むカラーリングとディテールをプラスしました。

黒く浮かび上がる独特の模様は、長い年月をかけて自然界の菌が木の内部で描き出したもので、“自然が作ったグラフィックアート”とも称されています。

本来は木が朽ちていく過程でのみ現れる神秘的な表情ですが、
職人が絶妙なタイミングで乾燥・加工を施すことで、その美しさを閉じ込めた一期一会の仕上がりとなっています。

また、木材内部まで深く浸透した水分や菌の広がり方によって生まれる模様は、一つとして同じものが存在しません。

The distinctive black patterns that emerge are created over many years by natural fungi within the wood, and are often referred to as “graphic art created by nature.”

Although this mystical appearance normally only emerges as the wood decays,
craftsmen have captured its beauty through precise timing in the drying and processing stages, resulting in a one-of-a-kind finish.

Furthermore, because the patterns are created by the way moisture and fungi spread deep into the wood, no two pieces are exactly alike.
